One faces quite a challenge to steer a rural or mufassil College especially when majority of the students in it are first generation learners. Young students entering into the arena of higher education, mostly from minority community, find themselves in a flux- they do not have a clear road map before them yet they are keen to be a part of the system of higher learning. In view of that our task becomes harder- we need not only impart classroom lessons but we also need to guide them in an uncertain world where they can cut their way ahead armed with nothing but education.
I consider myself fortunate that in our college a team of committed Professors aim at making the students ready to face such contemporary challenges through structured pattern of instruction and their continuous supportive guidance. So far as daily dispensation of student' activities is concerned no word of praise is enough for the Non-Teaching Staff. We are blessed to have very knowledgeable and sensitive external members in the Governing Body of the College, headed by Abdur Razzak Molla, Honourable Minister of the State of West Bengal.
Striving for excellence is our goal. We have arisen, we are awakened and we are not going to stop till the goal is reached.
